This webinar is part one of a two part series on Division 7A Income Tax Assessment Act 1936. To reference part two please click here.
The basic operative provisions of Division 7A of ITAA 1936 should be familiar to most taxation and accounting professionals.
We should all strive to attain a reasonable working knowledge of the rules, given the propensity for them to apply to our SME clients, especially those comprising large family groups of corporates and trusts.
Whilst the Division 7A of ITAA 1936 has been in place for many years, many of the more complex aspects can be easily overlooked. In our day-to-day work, we are often required to address common Division 7A issues and problems and in this context, understanding ‘the basics’ is important.
Given the nature and extent of Division 7A, the subject matter has been divided into two webinars firstly to cover ‘basic’ topics and secondly ‘advanced’ topics, the first of which will cover:
• A refresher on Division 7A;
• Practical application of the key provisions; and
• Division 7A tips & traps.
Accounting and taxation professionals, who require a working knowledge and better understanding of more advanced Division 7A ITAA 1936 issues.
