Ethics 4: Independence for Assurance Engagements


This webinar will look at the XRB’s PES1 Code of Ethics for Assurance Practitioners sections 290 and 291 covering Independence. The session will use a combination of real life examples and theoretical scenarios to illustrate.

- A feel for types of situations commonly encountered and how the Code of Ethics might be applied to them

Presenter Bio:

Julie Ramsay is the NZ Risk Management & Compliance Manager for Crowe Horwath / TEO. Julie is a member of Findex’s Corporate Risk Management team and Crowe Horwath’s NZ Risk Management and Compliance Manager. Her role crosses all service lines at Crowe Horwath but she works particularly closely with the audit partnership on risk and compliance matters specific to them, such as Independence. Julie helps to keep Crowe Horwath NZ abreast of changes in the ethics space.
