Phoenix - The bird of wonder dies, her ashes create an heir

Advising on restructures and considering asset protection strategies.

Subtle but significant Phoenix law reforms were introduced in February 2020.

In this session you will gain an understanding of the critical legislative changes and how they affect your clients and you as a professional adviser including:

Changes introduced to the Corporations Act 2001, A New System (Goods and Services Tax) Act 1999 and the Taxation Administration Act 1953 (Cth).
The consequences of non-compliance with the new legislative reforms, the burden of proof and the penalties that are available against clients/advisers.

Case studies will be used to distil the indicators of phoenix activity.

The session will include an explanation of the skills that restructuring advisors bring to the table as well as practical tips as to when they might complement your services in meeting your clients’ needs.
