Building a Highly Engaged Team

Overview

Have a positive impact, foster trust and get the most out of your people

New data suggests that for almost 70% of people, their manager has more impact on their mental health than their therapist or their doctor—and it’s equal to the impact of their partner. If you’re a leader, you’re right to find this data sobering.

Creating high engagement begins with leaders walking the talk and fostering an above the line culture of high trust and high accountability.

In this session we will explore how to build a highly engaged team based on the work of Patrik Lenzioni ( The five dysfunctions of a team), Brene Brown (Dare to lead), Kim Scott (Radical candour) and other information related to:

  • Creating a culture of trust
  • Unconscious bias, self-awareness and psychological safety
  • Importance of vulnerability and empathy in building high engagement
  • Leadership has impact on engagement– becoming an authentic leader
  • Bridging empathy and accountability  through practice of radical candour
