Dealing With Control and Perfectionism - Staying Grounded and Effective

Overview

Learn how to lead and work confidently in environments dominated by control, detail-focus or perfectionistic tendencies – either yours or others!

Perfectionism and control behaviours can be highly productive in some contexts—but deeply limiting in others. This session explores how these patterns show up in leaders and teams.

Participants learn how to recognise control-based behaviours, stay grounded in their leadership presence and reset expectations without escalating tension.

Practical tools equip leaders to maintain momentum, reduce bottlenecks and improve team and personal autonomy. These include how to delegate effectively, manage our behaviour, and hold conversations about the right level of work for the task or client.

Learning Outcomes:

Attendees will learn to:

  • Identify control and perfectionism patterns – either your own or others
  • Lead confidently without being drawn into overworking or over-controlling
  • Set boundaries and maintain emotional steadiness
  • Improve collaboration and shared ownership

Suited to:
