Excel Basics – Dashboards and Data

Overview
How to turn data into simple models and visualisations
It is recommended that you review ‘Excel Basics- Power Query and Tables’.
Data isn’t useful unless it tells a story and provides insights.
A well-presented and thoughtfully-constructed dashboard can be a great way to explore other areas of a client’s business.
This session will show you how to use Pivot Tables, Charts, Slicers and Dashboards to analyse data and provide you with valuable conversation starters and assist in formulating recommendations.
The analysis is built without complex coding or formulas so others can understand what has been done and how to trace it through from the start to finish.
We will cover the use of table-based formulas (structured references) and other Excel formulas and functions so you can easily transform the data into models.
The approach and structure outlined here can be applied and leveraged across many different clients.
