FBT 2025 – ATO FBT Letters – What to do?

Overview
The ATO message is clear – FBT is no longer optional or at the bottom of the to do list!
The ATO have increased the distribution of FBT Audit / Compliance letters in 2025, broadening the scope from individual employers to tax agents, and extending the focus from sedans and luxury vehicles to Utes & Vans.
In this session Paul Mather will discuss the evolving FBT Audit landscape and how the ATO have rapidly expanded their focus and simplified their strategies to create an effective FBT Compliance program.
Paul will share real life examples, explaining why particular employers and their tax agents have been targeted, and the impact on the tax agent, the employer and employees, both current and former (and their families).
Importantly, the ATO FBT compliance ramp up on FBT and Motor Vehicles provides key opportunities to assist your clients with understanding FBT and providing solutions.
