FBT 2026 - Car Parking

Overview

Car Parking remains the most complicated and misunderstood fringe benefit. Join us to unravel the complexity to ensure your understanding is correct and your reporting process is efficient.

The FBT car parking rules are complex, including understanding controversial recent changes, and require careful consideration to ensure employers are not only compliant but also minimise the FBT liability where possible.

Many employers (and their advisors) are unsure of whether FBT applies to the parking provided to employees, and how to value the car parking benefits. It is no wonder that many employers either overpay FBT, underpay FBT or just ignore the obligation fully or partially – actual examples will be shared to illustrate all of these employer scenarios.
