FBT 2026 - Your FBT Reporting Guide

Overview

Ready set go for a successful 2026 FBT Reporting! It’s an old but true cliche – to fail to plan, is to plan to fail! And this has never been truer than for annual FBT Return reporting, employee reporting and Payroll Tax, GST and Income Tax interactions

The annual FBT Return preparation process could be explained as 80% practical and 20% technical – by 31 March, the horse has often bolted when it comes to technical analysis and valuation options.

In this session we will discuss and provide a practical understanding of what’s required to plan your 2026 FBT Return Preparation Process – from start to lodgment and beyond.

We will discuss how to set a timeline and how to identify the key timeline dates. FBT Return preparation requires a team effort – we will discuss who needs to be involved, when they need to be involved and the nature of their involvement.

FBT Return preparation involves input data and information from multiple sources of information.

The outputs from the FBT Return preparation are just as crucial and represent the “end game”. We will discuss, what needs to be delivered, why, too whom, by when and the format.

This session is a must attend for FBT Return preparers and those reviewing FBT Returns. The content is highly practical and provides a step by step guide to FBT Return preparation.
