Transfer Pricing, Tariffs & Practical Commercial Terms

Overview

The secrets of effective cross-border deals. Pricing, value drivers, tariffs and commercial considerations. Join us for this applied session to find out more about how to price cross-border transactions, navigate the current world of international tax and trade and successfully report for tax purposes.

In this session we’ll explore some more advanced concepts in international tax, including concepts such as Transfer Pricing (TP) in related party cross-border dealings and tariffs.

Depending on which section of the press you read, you may already hold strident views on TP. We’ll separate myth from reality and provide real, practical examples of how you and your client’s Transfer Pricing strategy will play a huge part in the mix of their international tax burden.

No topical session on international tax would be complete without at least some discussion on tariffs. Learn how tariffs may impact your business’s economic value centres and how they might mess with (or help) your broader international tax strategy.

We’ll finish the session with some practical tips on how to ensure that the form, substance and commercial reality of your international tax strategy aligns and see how different revenue authorities want you to now report your international tax dealings.

Over the course of this three-part series, attendees will gain valuable, practical knowledge of how to navigate key international tax concepts for all levels of Australian taxpayer.
