This webinar will inform you of your company’s reporting obligations, to both ASIC and the Australian Securities exchange where applicable when certain material events occur in relation to your company’s operations or financial position.
It is important to note that all entities are covered by this regime, including listed and unlisted disclosing entities. This webinar will discuss the concept of a ‘disclosing entity’ and cover the exceptions or carve outs as they may or may not apply.
Generally, proprietary companies are not ‘disclosing entities’ however this is not always the case. It is important for directors of large proprietary companies, and listed and unlisted publics companies to appreciate that ASIC can take action against the company where it considers that it has not met its continuous disclosure obligations, including the issuance of infringement notices.
We will also briefly cover annual reporting obligations for different types of companies.
Webinar Learning Outcomes:
• Gain an awareness of reporting and disclosure requirements of companies
• Understand the sanctions for breaches of reporting obligations
• Appreciate the fundamental requirements for annual reporting to ASIC/ASX
Accountants, Directors of large proprietary companies and listed and non-listed Public companies, as well as Company Secretaries.
