Ethics form the bedrock of our profession, fostering trust and accountability, and this session will cover their basics and key rules

Ethics are one of the cornerstones of our profession. Their existence and our accountability under them help increase trust in the profession. This session will review the basics of ethics and the fundamental rules within the code of ethics.

Specifically, it will cover:

  • Ethics in General
  • Fundamental principles of the code of ethics
  • The Conceptual Framework

There will be a number of examples used to illustrate the points being made.

The session will not cover anything to do with ethics for assurance and audit engagements.

  • Understand the 5 fundamental principles
  • Be able to apply the conceptual framework to ethical issues you may face
