Muhunthan leads G+T’s tax practice with 22 years’ experience. He has extensive experience advising clients across a wide range of industries. His specialties are tax issues arising from transactions, with a strong focus on non-routine tax advisory work. He has advised on many cross-border corporate acquisitions, disposals and restructures; privatisations on both the Government and private enterprise sides; and equity raisings, floats and debt raisings.

Julian Cheng, Partner, Gilbert + Tobin.
Julian has over 20 years’ experience in tax consulting, 13 years as a partner with Deloitte, Pitcher Partners, and Gilbert + Tobin. His time at Deloitte also included 2 years as head of the Australian tax desk in New York, providing Australian tax assistance and advice to US corporate groups and funds.
He advises on M&A, restructures, capital management and financing, and fund structuring (including debt, equity and property funds).
