Overview

Discover the key financial and sustainability reporting reforms of 2025, including mandatory sustainability reporting, Pillar Two tax reforms, and new requirements for liabilities, disclosure statements, and more, all within the context of a challenging economic environment

2025 will host a number of significant financial and sustainability reporting reforms, including mandatory sustainability reporting and Pillar Two tax reforms.  But these aren’t the only changes afoot, with new requirements for non-current classification of liabilities with covenants, consolidated entity disclosure statements, sale and leaseback transactions, supplier finance and segment disclosures.

In this reporting update we will be looking at all of the key financial and sustainability reporting issues at 30 June 2025. We will also look at how the current economic environment will impact preparers and auditors this reporting season, including the reporting implications of uncertain tariff arrangements, inflationary pressures, global unrest and the prospect of increased regulatory scrutiny.
